Sanitation & Safety Protocols – In Person lessons!
In order to best maintain the safety and sanitation procedures issued by the CDC and ensure the safety of our students for in-person lessons, we are implementing the following protocols.
- All Teachers, Staff, and Students will be required to wear a face covering while at the school. If a student arrives at a lesson without a mask, the school will provide one for the student.
- We will require all Students, Teachers, and Staff to measure their temperature at our Thermometer. Anyone who has a temperature of 100.4 or more will be sent home.
- Any students, teachers or staff exhibiting any signs of COVID-19 will be sent home.
- We will require written confirmation from all staff and families of no symptoms prior to and throughout reopening, ie Fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills or repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell. All staff and families will confirm via text no symptoms in the last 48 hours prior to each teaching day at the beginning of re-opening phase For added safety.
- A Plexiglass barrier between students & teachers
- HEPA Air Purifiers in each classroom to sanitize air quality and reduce risk of COVID-19
- Ionizer in HVAC to sanitize 99.7% air quality overall
- Sanitization procedure between classes will be on teachers while wearing gloves, mask, and or goggles/face shield – clorox wipes on pianos, lysol air
- No music will be shared between teacher/students for music sanitization procedure
- 6 foot signs on floor to Maintain 6 ft at all times in waiting area
- Piano/keyboards re-arranged for all classes so the student and teacher are at least 6 feet apart.
- Designated floor markers for 6 foot teaching distance in all classrooms
- All Materials will be cleaned and sanitized prior to reopening and after each use
- Students will not be permitted to touch any surface at the school, except for pianos for the sole purpose of lessons.
- The Front Door will remain open at all hours of operation to limit touching of the door handle
